Behind The Vision

Hey, I’m Shaira.

I’ve always had a deep passion for photography, fashion, and modeling, things that have brought me happiness and purpose for as long as I can remember. It all began when I was 13, back in middle school, after stumbling upon my mom’s DSLR camera. On weekends, my parents would drive us around Hawaii in search of the perfect photo spot. I’d direct my dad on how to hold the camera, then jump in front of it to pose. Sometimes I’d convince my friends to get ready too, so that we could do our own little photoshoots.

That early spark grew into something much bigger. I, Shaira Gustilo, started AuraMagaziine entirely on my own crafted from scratch with nothing but raw ideas, late-night edits, and inspiration from amazing publications. For the first few months, I handled everything solo: photography, editing, design, outreach, and every detail in between.

But I soon realized that for Aura to grow and evolve, it needed more than just me. It needed a team with fresh perspectives, helping hands, and women who believed in what Aura stands for. So, I reached out to some of the most creative and kind-hearted girls I know women who embody the values of confidence, creativity, and community. They don’t just contribute their talents; they represent the very heart of what Aura is.

Aura is more than a magazine it’s a platform built from passion, collaboration, and the belief that everyone deserves to be seen for who they truly are.

A young woman with long black hair, sitting on the pavement with one knee up and the other leg crossed over, looking up at the camera. She has a nose piercing, tattoos on her arms, and is wearing a cream sleeveless top, blue shorts, white socks, and red pointy shoes. She is accessorized with multiple gold bracelets and earrings. A leopard print beret is on her back, leaning against a white brick wall.
